Amsterdam, 16 juni 2010 - Pakhuis de Zwijger, BNO, Items, Butterfly Works, DDiD, Streetlab en Women Inc. presenteren woensdag 30 juni ‘Design the Change’. Deze avond is onderdeel van het driedaagse evenement Joint Venture waarmee Pakhuis de Zwijger het culturele seizoen afsluit.

The great news was announced after DAY won the pitch for the launch of the latest addition to the Masafi Gourmet, the Labneh and Za’atar flavor chips.

The exhibition 'In Progress' at Grand Hornu Images, challenged designers to rethink the notion of progress. Studio Wieki Somers created 'Consume or conserve?'; their newest work, consisting out of three still lives made of 3d-printed human ashes.

After a vigorous year of nominations and awards, in which some works of Studio Wieki Somers could be seen at a.o. MoMA NY, Centre Pompidou Parijs, V&A Museum London, Galerie Kreo in Paris invited the studio to do a solo-exhibition, for which they created the 'Frozen in Time' collection, which exists out of 12 limited edition pieces.
During Design Miami/ Basel, Galerie Kreo will show selected pieces from this collection in a joint exhibition with exclusive limited edition pieces by some of the other renowned contemporary designers they represent, like Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Pierre Charpin, Naoto Fukasawa, Konstantin Grcic, Jasper Morrison, Martin Szekely, Alessandro Mendini, Marc Newson, and others.
